The Tubes Are Getting Crowded

Something is going on over here.

The domain was registered yesterday and the owners of the blog appear to be two conservative UMaine grads who ran unsuccessfully for local office and who now live in Maryland and North Carolina.

The only content so far seems to have been borrowed from PolitickerME.

Creepy

Man, that design looks creepy. The background color and title banner make it look like the cover of a Stephen King novel about Maine politics. Maybe they are really afraid of a larger democratic majority?

The site is mine

The site is mine, and the content was just filler so I could finish making certain the changes to the stylesheet I had made actually worked. It has since been of course changed.

I'm not sure why you think Aaron has anything to do with the site - he is a contributer at Political Capital, not there.

Regarding the ideology - its not intended to be ideologically bent, so that's not particularly relevant. You may find some extremely light color to it I suppose, if you're looking for it - but that's not why I put up the site.

As for the design looking creepy - not sure I get why you think that RTS - if you're referring to the banner being a tad dark, that's more the result of my LCD monitor at home being significantly brighter than your average monitor - I just bought it so I'm still getting used to it.

But, anyway - thanks for quasi-plugging the site. Hope its enjoyable in the future.

Ahh

That makes sense. My monitor is definitely not top of the line. The new scene you put up is much less King-esque and fills me with the hope of snow falling before long.

Good luck with the new site!

Thanks!

RTS, appreciate the warm wishes...

I put up the Snow banner as a tribute to the snow I almost never see anymore - but this afternoon here in the District it is spitting a little... made me miss the white piles of snow that used to fill my driveway.

Its really odd the things you miss when you move away - cold weather and snow are two that I thought I wouldn't think twice about, but miss like hell now.

Oh well, at least I don't live in the desert and can still go out to West Virginia to go skiing and such... lol...
