Susan Collins has responded to Allen's ad with a negative spot of her own. Couched in the language of bipartisanship, the ad hits Allen for going negative and claims it shows his lack of leadership.
Mr. Pseudonym thinks Allen's ads on the economy need to be more Maine-centric. I agree, and think they need more of an emotional component as well. A big picture of Bush isn't enough on its own.


New approach
That is so true. I am sick of hearing Allen's feeble attempts to discredit Collins merely by painting her as Bush's crony. I don't think anyone in Maine is buying into it. Allen needs to get to the root of the issues and differentiate himself from the ground up. This single platform approach is too lofty and assumes too much of Collins.
