WGME Profiles Pingree

Channel 13 profiled both CD1 candidates on their "Political Edge" show this week. The Pingree campaign has posted a clip of her segment.

Pingree Ad: "Squeeze"

Chellie Pingree is on the air with her first TV ad of the general election:

CD1 Sustainability Debate

CD1 candidates Chellie Pingree and Charlie Summers squared off in a debate on "Sustainability in Maine" over the weekend. The Press Herald has some highlights. I haven't found full video of the debate, but here's a clip:

Hopefully the candidates were more well-spoken throughout the rest of the debate. In this clip Pingree makes up a word ("crisises") and Summers takes us on a Palinesque ramble.

A Low-Profile Race

WGME goes in search of Maine's forgotten first district congressional candidates:

Pingree on Labor Day

Chellie Pingree says she can't remember her opponent's name, but has a few things to say about his record in this clip from the Maine AFL-CIO blog.

1st District Forum Scheduled

A group of 20 Maine environmental groups will be hosting the first joint forum of the general election in the 1st Congressional District.

The forum will be held on September 28 at USM and will focus on "global warming, alternative transportation, clean energy, land protection, wildlife habitat, water quality, reducing toxins and supporting Maine agriculture and fisheries."

Pingree Raises More Than $1.5 Million

The Pingree campaign has announced new fundraising numbers today that put her above the $1.5 million mark in money raised throughout the primary and general election campaigns so far.

Pingree spent most of the money she raised in the primary and currently has $191,870 cash on hand.

UPDATE: Pingree's Communications Director emailed to let me know those numbers are from a month ago, looks like some work on the website caused some old press releases to hit the RSS feed.

Annoyance of Pingree Continues

The Bollard is quickly changing from a monthly newspaper into an academic journal on ways to stalk first district congressional candidate Chellie Pingree.

Today's field report is an op-ed from Laurie Dobson, a woman who thinks she's running for senate, who had a rant-filled conversation with Pingree on North Haven Island.

PolitickerME reports that Pingree had no idea she was being interviewed for publication and denies many of the particulars of what Dobson wrote.

Journamalism

The Bollard's Chris Busby comes off like a creepy stalker.
