Hi, I'm Mike Tipping and I write the blog.

I started Maine Politics in January, 2005 and wrote regularly for about a year before my job got in the way (you can access the old archives here). I restarted the blog at its present location in July of 2008.

In January, 2011 I redesigned and relaunched the blog and a host of new authors will be joining up over the next few weeks to provide regular content. Expect more information about all the new authors soon, in this space.

I also write a blog for Down East Magazine and a weekly column for the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel.

I live in Westbrook and work as communications director for the Maine People's Alliance and the Maine People's Resource Center.

The website runs on Drupal 6 and a custom theme.
